Funny design choice for the yellow version; I would have the yellow represent birds being that finch yellow is a color description. I would have made the green lcd one the tortoise or better yet make the tortoise one a beige lcd. Otherwise great uniquely designed collaborations.

love the squares, had some, sold some, but now iam back again, got my GW-M5610U-1CJF and thats the one for me :) you can change day/mnt , blue light, multi and solar. Perfect for me but the Darwins watches are looking nice too ! Love the yellow, but it littlebit to wild for me! haha

I have a g shock tough solar gw2310 I've set the watch exactly the same as you've previously shown on here my battery is fully charged but I'm still getting no alarm tone or hourly tone when I press buttons no tone either I've had the watch around 10 year do you think it's the battery even tho it's showing fully charged or the speaker thanks

Well done my friend, great review. Fantastic you have all three of these limited Casio watches. Charles Darwin was such a great scientist in proving evolution of many species in isolation. I wish Casio were a little more diverse in their colouration of cases and straps. Yellow is the pick representing the sand but the others should have been green and blue to represent the Galapagos Islands land and water. That said I do love the back lit motifs and decoration. I have seen them advertised for sale from Casio at around $300 Australian dollars. I would love one but sadly not at that price. I will just admire yours.

I dig your style, I lobe when people value function over flexing and that's Casio in a nutshell. The vast majority of my collection is Casio, I am wearing a gw2310fb full blackout, black/inverted display right now. I put on spring bar expansion adapters so it holds 20mm straps and that has made it tons of fun to customize. But yes, solar, atomic, indestructable, what else could one actually need? So yeah, I share your passion for Casio, I love how you deep dive into detail, and I've marked/saved many of your videos as user guides for my own pieces. Fantastic! Keep up the great work!

I don't feel these are ultimate because 1) no multiband 6 (wrong, it has MB6), 2) no on display charge indicator and 3) only resin band. Bluetooth is ok for setting time automatically, but having to manually connect the watch to be able to check the battery level is not a premium experience. The other flaw is not having a bracelet band. These resin bands are not premium.

$11 is a steal deal !

I have a handful of Casio watches that I like for various reasons, aesthetics, functions, etc., but yes, the custom G-Shock Square I made out of a couple of the ones I got from Japan is probably my favorite. The black clasping bracelet, the Tough Solar, atomic clock radio sync. Just an awesome go anywhere watch with some nice features. Cheers.

Greg, I love my G-Shock squares and have 3, but you take it to another level. I love your show. If Casio would just add MIP to a watch with Tough Solar, Multi Band 6 and NO Bluetooth would check my boxes. Casio has their own agenda, but I will not buy another until these three features are together.

Did Casio change the module? I received my WV58DA ("WV58R" on case back) 06-10-24. You say it is a single band. Under the reception icon, mine says "Multiband 5". The case back also says "Multiband" in a much larger font. I'm very happy with mine.

Just did the mod by myself. I have several tips: 1. There is no need to remove the battery. Removing the metal encasing is enough to get into the module. 2. Use a fine tip soldering iron, the pcb may be damaged by the scrapping. 3. Yo desoldered the bridge number "0", but the other 4 also has uses. Soldering the first bridge it gives you access to 5 alarms, and the second disables Dual Time. I have no idea what the other two bridges are for.

What a brilliant watch. Am I the only one who is REALLY annoyed that the best watches are JDM-only? I might be able to get it easily enough but the risk/problems happen if it needs servicing or repair.

What a useless collection. You could wear a different watch for 6 months and nobody would know they are different. I’ve never seen such a large collection of $100 dollar watches. Just a giant “beater” collection.

I got the version of this watch with the red hands- the bezel is fixed but it is solar powered and it is my go to watch that I grab amongst my small collection. It does not have a screw in crown like the Duro's but it is water resistant, great watch.
